In a move aimed at expanding its reach beyond the Web, domain registrar and hosting company GoDaddy?has partnered with US office supply retail chain?OfficeMax to offer websites and domain names in more than?900 stores across the US.
It?s the first time that GoDaddy has looked beyond its own websites and online properties to sell products and services, which will see the company target small businesses and entrepreneurs ?who are looking to grow their business.?
GoDaddy has more than 11 million customers around the world and has identified that more than 70 percent of them either own or are connected to a small-to-medium sized business. By taking its services offline and advertising them to an estimated 75 percent of US businesses that don?t have a website, the company wants to be able to ?boost their online visibility, reach customers and drive sales in the digital space.?
OfficeMax will offer its customers bundles of GoDaddy website services, whether it be a simple domain name registrations, website creation or search engine?optimisation, helping to provide businesses already with websites greater visibility.
The retailer also says it will provide trained associates to help customers select the packages right for them, offering more information on each bundle ? which will all be offered as a one year service.
