How to enable and disable FaceTime on iPhone and iPad

How to enable and disable FaceTime on iPhone and iPad

While FaceTime is a great feature that can make conversations with loved ones and friends much more personal and interactive, there are times when it may not be appropriate or you don't want to be bothered with video calls. Whether you just have an aversion to video chatting and don't care much for it or you just need to disable it for a period of time, you can easily do so in just a few taps.

Here's how.

  1. Launch the Settings app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap on FaceTime.
  3. At the very top you'll see an option to turn FaceTime on and off. Tap the slider to turn it to the Off position.
  4. FaceTime will now be disabled and you won't receive any video calls on that specific device.

If you ever want to re-enable FaceTime, you can just pop back into settings and turn it on again.
